Luke J. O’Neill, CFA
Portfolio Manager

Luke J. O’Neill is a Portfolio Manager and member of the Investment Committee at CooksonPeirce Wealth Management. In this role, he works with other portfolio management staff in the day-to-day management of all CooksonPeirce investment strategies. He is also responsible for ongoing investment research, both for existing strategies and new strategy development.

Luke joined the firm in 2018 with 18 years in the investment business, most recently as a Director on the Investment Strategy team and Head of Product Development and Management at Mellon Capital Management, a large institutional investment manager within BNY Mellon. Before that, he served as Executive Director and Head of Manager Research at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, and as Vice President and Head of Manager Research at Wilshire Associates. 

Luke graduated with high honors from Geneva College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. He also received a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College in 1999. In 2004, he graduated with a MBA in Finance, Accounting, and Marketing from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2006, Luke was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. 

Luke and his wife, Jen, live in Shaler Township and are the proud parents of five children: Ethan, Halle, Malea, Kinsey, and Kieran. In his (limited) free time, he enjoys coaching youth basketball and rooting on the Pittsburgh sports teams, as well as his beloved Indiana Hoosiers. The family is also heavily involved in the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North Hills, where Luke serves as an elder and teaches the high school class.
